Frequently asked questions · Buffalo, NY
Good questions.
Everything you need to know before your appointment.
Booking & your visit
I’m new. How do I know what to book?
You don’t have to know exactly what your skin needs—that’s my job. If you’re unsure which skincare treatment is right for you, choose the option recommended for new clients or contact me before booking. We’ll talk about your concerns, goals and current routine and determine the best place to start.
Where are you located?
Buffalo Beauty by Meg is a private beauty studio inside My Salon Suites at 5500 Main St, Suite 104, Williamsville, NY 14221. Arrival information will also be provided with your appointment confirmation.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Buffalo Beauty is appointment-only. Because I am a solo provider, I recommend booking in advance whenever possible, especially if you need a specific day or time.
Do you accept walk-ins?
No. All services are provided by appointment only.
What is your cancellation policy?
Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you.
Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours and no-shows are subject to a cancellation fee.
Repeated late cancellations, rescheduling or no-shows may require prepayment before future appointments can be booked. Read the full cancellation policy.
What if I’m running late?
Please contact me as soon as possible. Depending on how late you arrive and the service booked, your treatment may need to be shortened or rescheduled so that the next client’s appointment is not affected.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Payment is due at the time of service. Accepted payment methods are listed during the booking process.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes. Gift cards are available for Buffalo Beauty by Meg and make a great option when you’re not sure which treatment someone would prefer.
Can men book services?
Yes. Men are welcome to book many Buffalo Beauty services. Certain intimate hair-removal services may have additional booking requirements; please contact me before scheduling if you have questions.
Can I bring someone with me?
Because Buffalo Beauty is a private studio and appointments are one-on-one, please plan to attend your appointment alone unless we’ve discussed otherwise in advance.
Can I bring my children?
For safety, relaxation and to allow me to give you my full attention, please arrange childcare before your appointment whenever possible.
Skin treatments
How often should I get a facial?
There isn’t one schedule that’s right for everyone. Your ideal treatment frequency depends on your skin, goals, home-care routine and the type of treatments you’re receiving. I’ll help you create a realistic plan rather than recommending appointments you don’t need.
I’ve never had an advanced skin treatment. Where should I start?
Start with your skin—not a treatment you’ve seen online.
We’ll discuss what’s bothering you, evaluate your skin and determine which treatment makes sense. You do not need to understand the difference between every peel, device or facial before booking.
Will one facial change my skin?
You can absolutely notice improvements in hydration, smoothness, brightness and overall appearance after a single treatment. More significant concerns generally require consistency, professional treatments and appropriate home care over time.
There are no overnight miracles—but there can be very good skin.
What is Glacial® Skin?
Glacial® Skin uses controlled cooling technology during treatment to help visibly calm and refresh the skin. At Buffalo Beauty, Glacial treatments can be incorporated with exfoliation, hydration and professional skincare to create a soothing, glow-focused experience. Learn about the Glacial Gloss facial.
Laser, brows, lashes & sugaring
How many laser hair removal sessions will I need?
Laser hair removal requires a series of treatments because hair grows in different cycles. The exact number varies based on the treatment area, hair characteristics, skin type and individual response. Maintenance treatments may also be needed.
Can I shave between laser hair removal appointments?
Yes. Shaving is generally the preferred method between laser appointments. Avoid waxing, tweezing or sugaring the treatment area because the laser needs the hair follicle present to effectively target it.
How long does a lash lift last?
A lash lift typically lasts approximately 6–8 weeks, depending on your natural lash-growth cycle and aftercare.
How long do powder brows last?
Powder brows gradually fade over time. Many clients choose a color refresh around 1–2 years, although some can go considerably longer depending on their skin, lifestyle, pigment retention and personal preference.
Will my powder brows look really dark at first?
Yes, they will initially appear darker and more defined than the healed result. As your brows heal, the color softens and settles into a more natural-looking finish.
I’m nervous about getting a Brazilian. Is that normal?
Completely. Many first-time clients are nervous.
My studio is private, professional and judgment-free. I’ll explain what to expect and do everything I can to make you feel comfortable throughout your appointment.
Skincare products
What professional skincare do you carry?
I carry a curated selection from Factor Five, Epicutis, GlyMed Plus, OURSELF and Colorescience mineral SPF. Product recommendations are based on your individual skin rather than putting everyone on the same routine. See the skincare lines.
Do I have to buy products?
Absolutely not.
I’ll recommend products when I believe they’ll benefit your skin or help protect your treatment results, but you’ll never be pressured into purchasing something you don’t want.
Cancellation policy
When you book your appointment, you are holding a space on our calendar that is no longer available to our other clients. In order to be respectful, please contact Buffalo Beauty as soon as you know you will not be able to make your appointment.
If cancellation is necessary, we require at least 48 hours’ notice. Appointments are in high demand, and your advance notice allows another client access to that appointment time.
Our policy
- Any cancellation or reschedule made less than 48 hours before your appointment will result in a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the reserved services.
- If you are more than 10 minutes late for your service, we may not be able to accommodate you. In this case, the same cancellation fee will apply.
- No call/text no-shows will be charged 100% of the service booked.
We will do our very best to reschedule your service for another time that is convenient to you. In the event of a true, unavoidable emergency, all or part of your cancellation fee may be applied to future services.

Ready when you are.
